About the role: A Field Application Engineer (FAE) is the link between technical development, customer and the commercial organisation. The FAEs goal is to generate technical solutions and successfully implement them at the customer. The FAE uses existing products and concepts to work out system solutions for customers. Key responsibilities Support Commercial team and customers pre and post-sales activities including Answering new and existing customers' application and integration questions Product demonstrations Technical training (create material and sessions for both staff and customers) and technical issue resolution Understand technical nuances/drivers in market. Listen to customers and communicate customer feedback to Commercial, Product Management, and Technical teams Support Commercial staff in response to commercial quotes When applicable, customize HW/SW demonstration solutions based on customer needs Develop technical solutions for our customers by working out product solutions for application and system requirements Discussing the product definition with the customer Establishing and maintaining customer relations Essential experience Relevant hands-on engineering or development experience Ability to develop and improve software & hardware applications Strong knowledge of power electronics Familiarity with automotive sector Project management abilities Relevant electronics engineering experience Superior troubleshooting skills A pleasant but focused sales demeanor Soft skills, including exceptional customer services and interpersonal skills Qualifications Demonstratable industry experience and HNC Qualified Behaviours Excellent team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues. Ability to organise and plan own work. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to ensure effective communication with a wide range of contacts. Demonstration of the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ability to work on own initiative. Technical credibility to influence solution architecture in bid development, both externally and internally. What do we offer? Salary up to £56,000
