Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps Engineer Locations: UK Wide (Hybrid: Agile, dependant on end client requirements) Are you ready to train as a GCP DevOps Engineer and kick-start an incredible new career ? We are currently recruiting professionals with experience in either infrastructure, networking or sysadmin to cross-train as GCP DevOps Engineers for placement at our client, a digital consulting firm solving client transformation challenges and utilising the disruptive power of technology to help digitally enable their clients' businesses. The OpportunityOver 12 weeks, we'll provide you with the initial training you'll need to get you up to speed with the Google Cloud Platform, and support you to gain your industry certifications as a GCP DevOps Engineer. We'll then place you with our client, to give you that all-important work experience that will help you stand out in the job market.Plus, as part of our commitment to creating incredible talent as a Google training provider, we'll provide you with a tailored learning and development plan and a personal career development coach, to help you become the best at what you do.Once you're trained and certified, you'll work as a Revolent GCP DevOps Engineer within our client. Your role could include:Driving the automation of multiple parts of infrastructure and deployment systemsDesigning and developing infrastructure interfaces for business applications. Contributing ideas for improvements in DevOps practicesConsulting on matters relating to the design and implementation of the solution, participating in discussions around risk mitigation, trade-offs and best practices.Providing support as a technical resource and subject matter expert during the full software development life cycle from conception, design, implementation and testing to documentation and delivery Translating client business requirements into a technical design, plus defining technical tasks and estimates required to implement Candidate RequirementsWe're looking for professionals with solid experience in either infrastructure, networking or sysadmin interested in cross-training in GCP, on a two-year program that includes paid training, certifications, and work placement. Our client is a global partner for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), helping established organisations (predominantly within financial services) become digitally-enabled, by fusing strategy, consulting and customer experience with agile engineering and problem solving creativity.To apply for this program, you'll need to have experience in one or more of the following:Either infrastructure engineering, system admin, or network engineeringBasic scripting in OOP languages (ideally Python - would also consider Java, JavaScript, Groovy)Linux InfrastructureEither infrastructure engineering, system admin, or network engineeringYou'll also need to be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and a continual learner dedicated to learning your new skillset.
