As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be accountable for network, systems, and troubleshooting across our enterprise. You will take part in the support of system/network assets using current and emerging technologies. With an internal SLA objective of 5 9's, you will maintain overall capability health in a 24/7 environment and carry out tasks based on business objectives and strategy. A bit more about your responsibilities:Provide leadership on all design and standards issuesTraining and mentoring of technologies usedCreate complex technical solutions to address a variety of business problemsSupport system and network infrastructure including switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, compute, storage, and virtualisation assets.Manage highly visible changes and ensures infrastructure is running efficientlyWork with Engineering and Security to stay on top of upcoming initiativesAlign systems solutions to support business plansCommunicate effectively with colleagues and peers of both a tech and non tech languagePrevious experience and desirables:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.5+ years of relevant experience in Windows/Linux/Cloud environments.Must have at least 5+ years of experience with enterprise-level system design and support.Deep technical expertise and hands-on with Windows Server administration, Linux, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, DHCP, DNS, DFSR, etc.Bash/PowerShell/Perl/Python or other scripting.Strong knowledge and experience with data centre Hyper-V or VMWare/ESXi virtualisation technologies.Experience managing iSCSI SAN/NAS-based storage arrays.Knowledge of LAN, Routing, Switching, IP Networking, VPN technologies, DNS, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 protocols.Benefits:WFH - no requirement to visit office space£60 monthly contribution towards cost of running a home office£500 one off payment upon starting to support with cost of setting up a home officeUnlimited annual leavePrivate Medical InsuranceFor more information please call Declan on 02031484662.
