Located in the popular and scenic French speaking part of Switzerland this Technical Leadership position has opened with a company specialising in the design and manufacturing of low power Wireless ICs. This is an opportunity for a hands on Technical Lead Analog/RF IC Design Engineer to join the wireless division specialising in the development of state-of-the-art, low power, RF system-on-chips (SOCs) for next generation RF SOCs used in consumer, industrial, medical, and automotive applications. In this role you will be in charge of product development activities for a team that develops ultra low power wireless SoCs. You will be the technical interface management and responsible for overall project execution, design quality, and time-to-market and your responsibilities in leading a team of highly-skilled team of IC, Hardware, Software and Test engineers, are:Main technical reference person for wireless IC projectsMentor project managers and teams throughout all phases of IC development and ensuring timeliness of deliveries Oversee that projects are constructed and validated on sound technical basis and with proper risk management practices, in order to achieve "first-time right" IC designsOversee quality of embedded firmware, bench/production testers, and customer support/toolsAssess, at technical level, sub-contractors and IP providers, ensuring that they contribute with high level of technical quality and efficiencyInteract with Sales teams for defining and providing the required support material and documentation The successful applicant will be Masters or PhD qualified, have a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience, ranging over IC design, project management and technical team leadership in the field of CMOS wireless IC and Modules. A strong track record in bringing wireless semiconductor solutions from product definition to volume production is ideal. Excellent understanding and proven experience is required in the following areas; Design of Analog/Mixed Signal/RF blocks in deep-submicron CMOS, analysis of wireless product requirements, design of RF systems/modules and blocks along signal path and industrialization, qualification (for production) and certification wireless ICs and modules. Excellent communication skills in English are required with knowledge of the French language an advantage. You will be at ease with mentoring designers and comfortable with technical leadership for stimulating creative and problem-solving at all phases of IC and module development and testing. Experience is required in the design of ultra low-power RF/Analog/Mixed-Signal/Digital architectures and circuits in deep-submicron CMOS as well as experience in the analysis of wireless product requirements, design of RF systems and blocks along the signal path.
