ASIC DESIGN ENGINEER for a Pre-IPO High speed SERDES Semiconductor company - Can be based in the UK - onsite requires, remote will be considered for more experienced engineers. I am looking for an Engineer with circa 5 years+ experience in ASIC Design to join my clients Semiconductor team. They are an innovative leader in high-speed and energy efficient chip-chip link solutions critical to the evolution of the electronics industry!This is a superb time to join a high-tech scale-up that is challenging established tech giants, a company with significant funding and who are pre-IPO as they embark on their next phase of their journey! Due to their European presence this role can be based in the UK (Reading/Northampton/remote) Lausanne, Switzerland, Germany or Denmark.  As part of the role you will be required to participate in the definition of block-level specifications of high-speed digital circuits that meet key performance targets based on system-level requirements. As well as the analysis and understanding of high-speed serial protocols (e.g., USB4, PCIe).Skills
Strong technical background in design of high-speed digital circuits in deep-submicron CMOS technologiesAdvanced knowledge of high-speed and low-power design techniquesStrong analytical skills to translate system-level requirements into designStrong RTL coding skills (SystemVerilog preferred)Advanced knowledge of high-speed and low-power design techniquesKnowledge of signal processing techniques is an advantageScripting (Python preferred)Understanding of verification methodologies, in particular UVM, is an advantageFamiliarity with high-speed serial protocols is highly desirableKey responsibilities
