The Opportunity We are looking for 4 Solutions Architect.As a Solutions Architect you'll enjoy a diverse range of work, while growing your expertise across different areas of the technical delivery stack. You'll be a valued member of an inclusive, professional team embedded into the full project lifecycle. Collaborating with Data and Enterprise Architects, you'll also have the opportunity to promote, shape and influence the architecture community. It's one of the most interesting and sought-after roles in the Parliamentary Digital Service. Your duties will be highly varied and include:acting as the technical lead on projects and programmes, giving direction and guidance to support early-stage strategic decision makingworking as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, to identify requirements and design technical solutions that meet cyber-security standardsconsulting with Digital Service colleagues and senior stakeholders to understand problems and ensure that all relevant business areas are represented when designing solutionscreating and maintaining the High-Level Designs for solutions and presenting them to technical governance, security accreditation and assurance bodiesmanaging relationships between internal and external suppliers, acting as the technical lead for analysis, procurement, design, and delivery What You NeedTo act as technical delivery lead, you'll need experience of working in an architecture or technical solution design function.With this, you'll bring:analytical and technical skills covering a variety of areas, including cloud services, RDBMS and integration technologies, networking, security, SaaS and COTSa good understanding of Cyber Security technology, like Identity and Access Management and Application Securitythe ability to take responsibility for the design and delivery of the full application cycle for end-to-end solutions, identifying and managing riskcustomer focus, with the ability to empathise with stakeholders and manage competing expectationsstrong leadership capability, along with excellent planning and organisational skillsthe ability to work collaboratively to solve technical and business problems, challenging the status quo to get better resultsthe ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UKAbout The TeamProviding architectural, design and data guidance to project teams, the Solution, Information and Data Architecture team enables the development and delivery of a variety of valuable IT and business services across UK Parliament.
