An exciting, successful and fast growing expert manufacturing business based in Birmingham (West Midlands) who develop and design world-class products and embedded technology for market sectors including: logistics, fleet management software, as well as working with key customers/organizations such as Amazon and more are now seeking to hire a brand new Embedded Systems Architect for Electronics & Embedded Software to join the business on a permanent basis in which the business is currently going through a period of exciting growth in which the company have successful been involved in the IMHX Exhibition most recently in September 2022.Salary:
The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Systems Architect is up to £100,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.Flexible hybrid working arrangement:
Working 3 days in the office and 2 from home is available. Working 5 days a week in the office is preferred as candidate work will be highly valued.Previous & present candidate job titles may include the following:
Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer, Senior/Lead/Principal Embedded Systems Engineer, Technical Lead Engineer and Embedded Systems Architect.The role:
The successful Embedded Systems Architect join a small, friendly, and highly innovative growing development team and will take a leading role within the business whereby day to day activities will be a great mix of working on electronics hardware design and firmware development. The Embedded Systems Architect will take ownership in the design, engineering and development company’s existing and expanding product range and technologies.
Key Skills:
3-5+ years industry experienceExperience in electronic engineering- both hardware design and embedded softwareElectronic Circuit Design (analogue/digital)PCB Design & Schematic Capture - Altium Designer, EasyEDA or similarNetwork interfaces - SPI, I2C, USB, UART, Ethernet, CANbus, ADC, DACExperience of Microcontrollers - Espressif ESP32, Microchips, STM32Embedded Software Programming in C, C++ or C#Other programming languages - Assembler, C# & .Net would be a bonusHave expertise in the development of embedded software systems - e.g., bare metal, RTOS, drivers and GUI or similar microcontrollersRTOS Experience - FreeRTOS, Windows, Linux, macOS or similarFirmware development - Bootloaders, OTA update, Wi-Fi and IOT core modulesExperience of IDE’s - Visual Studio, MPLABX, Eclipse, Keil, Arduino or similarVersion Control Systems - GIT, SVN, JIRA or similarStrong technical ability, communication, project management and leadership skillsUnderstanding of IoT development principles and security an advantageAgile development methodologiesBenefits Package:
