Infrastructure Engineer London / WFH to £80k
Infrastructure Engineer (Linux VMware IaC) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a Infrastructure Engineer with a broad range of technical skills looking for an opportunity to progress your career whilst gaining valuable experience (e.g. GCP) and continually learning?
You could be joining one of the country's leading PropTech companies that have revolutionised the way we find property for rent and sale and supporting web and mobile apps that are used by millions on a daily basis (c 1.5 billion page views per month).
As an Infrastructure Engineer you will join a team responsible for ensuring 24/7 uptime and availability of the website. As well as responding to incidents, fixing bugs / faults, identifying and resolving issues you'll be involved in a range of internal projects such as introducing new technologies, migrating services from legacy to new technology, building Infrastructure as code (IaC) modules and optimising data centres. You'll also be able to pick up GCP knowledge as you'll be involved in transitioning on-prem services to the Google Cloud Platform.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join colleagues in the London office for 2 days a weeks with the other 3 working remotely.
Requirements:
You have strong Linux system administration experience
You have experience with VMWare ESXi clusters for business critical workloads
You have a good knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, Routing protocols, IP Addressing, HTTP, DNS
You have experience with traffic management / load balancing / API gateways e.g. F5, NGINX, Kong
You have strong troubleshooting, analysis and problem solving skills
You believe in automating repetitive tasks ideally with tooling experience: Gitlab, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Docker - scripting with Python or bash
You're familiar with Cloud services, keen to learn GCP
You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills
