Our world-leading Intelligence, Security and Cyber agency. Your world-class IT support.

We're GCHQ, a world-leading intelligence, cyber and security agency. Our mission? To unlock the complex world of communications and keep the UK safe. Working closely with our partners in the intelligence community, we protect the nation's people, interests and businesses from threats including serious and organised crime, terrorism, and cyber-attacks.

The nature of our work means we're reliant on our technology and systems working smoothly every day. For that reason, our skilled IT teams are at the heart of our organisation. They keep us online, connected - and capable of identifying threats. When you join, you'll bring your enthusiasm for IT to the role as you support colleagues, suppliers and our partners at other intelligence agencies with their requirements. So you'll have sound interpersonal skills, and be able to find and communicate effective solutions in stretching circumstances.

You'll need previous experience within an IT environment, but you won't be expected to know everything. After all, our work is unique. We'll provide dedicated training tailored to your needs, and give you access to range of internal courses and workshops. You'll even get the opportunity to gain professional qualifications. Plus, you'll be working alongside a team of friendly experts, so your learning will never stop.

Importantly, you'll need to have a genuine interest in working in IT. You'll enjoy working with others and be customer-focused in your approach. And you'll know how to prioritise tasks effectively.

Whatever your role, we offer opportunities to work flexibly, which includes reduced hours or job sharing (depending on operational needs), so you'll benefit from a great work-life balance too.

We therefore welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including those from groups that are under-represented in our workforce such as women, those from an ethnic minority background, people with disabilities and those from low socio-economic backgrounds.
