As Senior Web Developer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of our website and other digital estates connected to our marketing operations.

Joining our busy Digital Marketing Team, you will:

Analyse and interpret website usage trends using tools such as Google Analytics and Hot Jar.

Generate business reports using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Data Studio.

Maintain and develop the University's managed CMS platform.

Maintain other third-party systems.

Respond to and resolve any critical issues.

Drive technological innovation through data-led research.

Recommend, plan, and implement long-term improvement roadmaps.

Manage the workload of the Web Development team through the use of Agile development tools.

Skills

Experience of full-stack development.

Knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns.

Strong commercial experience of using client-side technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+) to build performant, responsive websites.

Strong experience in SCSS.

Experience in the configuration, maintenance, and use of Node-based build systems (Yarn, Webpack, Babel).

Demonstrable commercial experience of server-side technologies, specifically PHP.

Strong experience in using and managing version control systems, specifically Git.

Experience in using and maintaining Google Tag Manager.

Experience in implementing and maintaining Google Analytics.
