Lead Software Engineer / Team Lead to £80k

Lead Software Engineer / Team Lead (Java API Agile) *Remote / Hybrid WfH*. Are you a hands-on technology leader with strong Java skills?

You could be joining a market leading software house that's remote access product is used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

As a Lead Software Engineer you will head up a cross functional team of software engineers and QAs responsible for the flagship desktop remote access product. You'll collaborate with the Product Management team and business stakeholders in a flexible Agile environment, steering the technical direction of the team, managing workloads, mentoring and pitching in with the coding on the most challenging and cutting edge projects.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process and you can work from home most of the time, meeting up with the team in Cambridge around once a month / quarter.

Requirements:

You have a strong a strong software engineering background with current Java coding skills

You have experience of leading cross functional Agile software delivery teams; you're able to estimate, prioritise and track workloads for the team

You have a good understanding of what it takes to build systems at scale

You have a good knowledge of a range of desktop environments e.g. Windows, Linux, Mac at OS level

You have a good grasp of security and an understanding of encryption, networking technologies and protocols

You have a good knowledge of Agile methodologies i.e. Scrum, Kanban

You're collaborative and pragmatic with mentoring and leadership skills
