Quality Engineer
Lloyds Banking Group, Finance Value Stream - Group Corporate Treasury Lab, Chief Operation Office
London based (2 days per week in the office)
Salary & Benefits: £61,176 - £76,470 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Which area of Lloyds does this role sit within?
The Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) Lab team are part of Group Transformation. We work together to solve complex problems for Treasury through building, implementing and supporting strategic technology solutions.
We're looking for a Quality Engineering Lead to work on Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) data-intensive applications. It is expected that this role will equally split hands on testing activities with leading a team and working with the Engineering and Project leads
What will you do?
Accountable for Functional and System Integration Testing against previously defined and signed-off business requirements, functional specifications or user stories
Accountable for the production of test scenarios, test scripts and testing evidence to ensure those meet appropriate levels of control for quality, risk and audit purposes
Investigate complex issues identified and if appropriate raise as defects in JIRA, working with developers, BA's etc. to ensure timely resolution to all defects
Review and provide feedback on requirements and specifications to ensure that those are easy understood, unambiguous and testable
Work proactively with the Product Owner and Quality Engineering Lead to provide input to continuous improvement across all aspects of testing e.g. testing framework, environments, interaction with and UAT Support
Help to build and maintain a library of application and interface regression test scripts covering technical dependencies and business processes
Drafting and presenting the end of test report highlighting key issues found during testing once the testing phase is complete
Actively contribute during sprint retrospectives
Understand and apply industry best practices, foster knowledge sharing to provide solutions for complex business problems where no precedent may exist, and ensure implementation of solutions where appropriate
Focus on delivering business value through sound testing methods and principles
Contribute to the QE community to drive forward testing standards and process
Coach and mentor junior team members
What we're looking for from you
Definition of positive, negative and boundary test cases for functional, non-functional and regression testing purposes
Strong SQL experience and ability to understand and query databases effectively
Test definition and execution through Jira X-Ray
Can traverse System Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing understanding the different requirements of each discipline
