Software Engineer in Test (SET) Lloyds Banking Group, Group Transformation- Enterprise Risk Value Stream Edinburgh based (2 days per week in the office) Salary & Benefits: £35,656- £57,941 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays. A great opportunity has arisen for a Software Engineer in Test to join our Risk Value Stream where you will be responsible for driving quality throughout the change lifecycle and undertaking testing of software changes to deliver products that are fit for purpose to meet the quality standards our customers expect of us. The Risk Value Stream (RVS) supports the Risk Division by delivering Risk Transformation across five pillars and 20 initiatives. As we follow the Agile Project Methodology, our initiatives are typically led by Product Owners (PO) and Engineering Leads (EL), who work with their Scrum Masters (SM), Business and Data Analysts (BA/DA) and various Engineering colleagues to deliver our agreed outcomes.Our team in Risk Value Stream is passionate about creating new services for our customers that transform the customer and colleague experience. Our culture brings together inquisitive, hardworking people from a diverse group of backgrounds that enjoy a collaborative and innovative environment that supports flexible and agile As part of a cross-disciplinary team our Software Engineers in Test use a variety of techniques to plan, design and execute test cases across multiple types of testing Functional, Non-Functional & Automation. What will you do? Continuously contribute to the development of Risk Value Stream's strategy in line with the evolution of new technologies and tooling!Write automated test scripts against user stories and maintain test traceabilityRefine user story acceptance criteria using Behaviour Driven Development methods (BDD) and identifying testing needsIdentify defects and work with the feature team to prevent defect leakage. Helping to gather lessons learnt to prevent similar issues in the future.Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects and Designers as a part of the Team!Be open to new "thought processes" and change mind set. Bringing in new ways of working and creative ways of embedding and delivering "Quality".Develop personal capabilities using formal and informal training opportunitiesSupport others within the Software Engineering in Test Chapter and the wider team and ensuring the appropriate development plans are in place to help drive the overall capability of the team forwardEnsuring your area of responsibility is aligned with overall test strategies and transformation, pushing boundaries and seeking opportunities to improve What we're looking for from youPrior experience working as a Software Engineer in Test who is interested in focusing on Test automation, or a background within specifically automation testing and the desired coding skillsDefinition of positive, negative and boundary test cases for functional, non-functional and regression testingStrong SQL experience and ability to understand and query databases effectively, microservices and API testingConfiguration and support of test automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, POSTMAN, SoapUI, WebDriver IO, Sauce Labs, BDD, Cucumber, LoadRunner, JmeterTest definition and execution through Jira X-RayAdopting an 'automation first' approach with a passion for driving efficiency and a focus on reducing risk within teamsExperience working within a DevOps & Agile working environment.
