The Role:

As we expand our technical stack an exciting opportunity has arisen to work with two of our key partner's product suites: Salesforce and SmartComm/SmartIQ. Salesforce is used to manage advisor to customer relationships, the customer journey with SPW and the touch points within that journey, whist SmartComm and SmartIQ are both leveraged to create key client documentation driven out as the journey progresses from introduction and fact-finding to advice and servicing.

You will already have SmartComm experience, although that's not mandatory - for the right candidate with the relevant development experience, we're going to invest in training to get you up to the right level.

Responsibilities

Working within an Agile Scrum environment, analysis of the user stories (i.e. functional requirements) of Salesforce change and changes to the document templates and related forms

Analysis of source data structures containing business data

Working with Business Analyst and Architecture & Engineering teams to design and develop solutions for the business using Salesforce CRM including the creation of conceptual approach, technical analysis, gap assessment, workflow design, development, configuration, testing, deploy and support activities

Implementation of the design and layout for document templates and forms, according to requirements, with our SmartComm / SmartIQ software suite, with the usage of dynamic data from systems such as Salesforce

Creation of DocuSign envelopes for onward signing

Configuration of the document templates and forms to reflect the customer use cases

Creation, execution, and documentation of the necessary unit tests

Implementation of a configuration management policy for all SmartComm / SmartIQ assets

Implementation of all actions required to deploy the document templates and forms, including coordination with dependant teams

Maintenance and fixing of the document templates and forms (i.e. you will run what you build)

Execution of all actions required to upgrade the document templates and forms on a new release of either the SmartComm or SmartIQ software suite

Creation of documentation supporting the implemented system and cross-skilling / knowledge sharing to other team members

What would you be doing?

You will contribute towards refining user stories (i.e. business requirements) and specifications into implementable capabilities and explore the delivery options, developing design ideas as you go

You will participate in cross value-stream squads to develop capabilities

You will gain advocacy for your solutions through building effective working relationships

It's a truly collaborative set up where you'll get to discuss solutions with business customers, technical subject matter experts, to agree, develop and deliver solutions

Your skills and experience

2-3 years working knowledge of SmartComm (SmartIQ is desirable but not essential) or alternatively 2-3 years of development experience, ideally including Salesforce

Completed studies in computer science, comparable education, apprenticeship, or existing experience - we want demonstration of logical problem solving

Knowledge of document composition and output formats such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, AFP, PDF, HTML, email

Experience in the usage of software development supporting tools like JIRA and Confluence (Azure DevOps as an alternative)

Experience in software development

Experience in collaborating with stakeholders and engaging with all participating teams

XML / JSON, XSL-FO, XSLT

Understanding of the basic principles of data structures and data modelling

We'd be looking for varying levels of experience across a number of the following areas :

MS365 Product Suite (Previously Office 365 - Including but not limited to MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business)

Experience using APIs for data gathering

Beyond the technical elements

A customer focussed ethos to ensure customers receive the service required

Good stakeholder management with the ability to recommend change and contribute towards technical direction

Willingness to take responsibility, the ability to self-start and organise personal workload

A working knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
