Due to further growth and development, an excellent global engineering organisation based in Malvern Worcestershire who’re one of the world leaders in the design and manufacturing of Machinery, Controls, Automation, Measurement and Instrumentation are now seeking to hire for a brand new Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join their growing organization that is currently going through a great period of continuous success and exciting product development opportunities.
 
Salary on offer & work from home policy:
The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Linux Software Engineer  is £30,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience. Hybrid working can be arranged but is more on an ad hoc basis, dependent on work and projects, so would not be agreed as a set pattern every week and the Embedded Linux Software Engineer  will need to work 5 days a week onsite.
 
Summary of the Embedded Software Engineering role:
The successful Embedded Linux Software Engineer will join and work within a highly skilled and innovative multi-disciplinary Research & Development engineering team. The Embedded Linux Software Engineer will take ownership and to be responsible for development of robust software on embedded systems.
 
Embedded Linux Software Engineer Key Skills:
Degree, HND or suitable experience in relevant field for Electronics Engineering1-2+ years industry experienceC/C++ programming in an embedded environmentExperience of Linux & Embedded LinuxLinux Kernel and Linux Device DriversUbuntuMicrocontroller & Microprocessor experienceExperience developing on SoC modules.Enthusiastic, self-starter, nice team player and good communication skills Desirable & highly advantageous nice to have skills:
Version Control Systems - GIT, SVN, JIRA or similarReal Time Operating Systems Experience - FreeRTOS, Linux, Windows or similarProficient with .Net programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic, Java and/or other object-oriented languagesExperience with Modbus, DNP3 or electronics Benefits Package:
25 days holiday plus all bank holidaysFlexi holiday scheme allowing employees to buy or sell up to 5 days a year.Hours are 37.5 per week 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday, with an unpaid break of 30 minutes and 8.30 am to 3.00 pm on Friday with an unpaid break of 1 hour.Pension is employer 3% employee 5%.  The employer contributions increase to 10% with length of serviceDeath in service benefit 3 x annual salaryFlexi start and finish times
