An exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to provide IT administrative support whilst gaining valuable IT Project Management experience within a world-leading government body.

CMA promotes competition for the benefit of consumers, both within and outside the UK. Our aim is to make markets work well for consumers, businesses and the economy. To achieve this, it is essential we have an efficient and effective IT service. As a Project Support Officer, you will work with colleagues across Information Technology and Business Services (ITBS), to implement our required project governance standards and procedures, enabling CMA to be a high performing organisation. Specific responsibilities will include:

Working with Project Managers and workstream leaders to update project documents such as Risks, Assumptions Issues and Dependencies log (RAID); Exception and Change reports; Recourse Planner; and Project timelines.

Ensuring accurate electronic and hard copy distribution, managing filing systems for correspondence, making sure documents and project papers established for the project are maintained.

Taking the lead, as appropriate, on individual work streams, including carrying out analysis and drafting documents, ensuring that they are delivered to a high quality, to time and budget.

Drafting a wide range of documents, for example, agendas, minutes, presentations, as well as contributing to internal and external project papers.

To be successful in your application you will need to provide evidence and examples for each of the following selection criteria:

Experience of managing your own work and the ability to successfully prioritise work to meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal which can be tailored to suit non-technical audiences.

Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Strong computer literacy, including the use of MS Office Suite, MS Project and SharePoint.

Proven ability to understand and interpret financial and numerical datasets.

Some experience drafting documents e.g. project reports and providing project administrative support, within an IT area.
