WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Cooling system Integration Lead Engineer, you will be responsible to lead the design, virtual development and physical validation of Powertrain Cooling Systems for Jaguar Land Rover Vehicles.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

As a Cooling system Integration Lead Engineer you will lead the delivery of Cooling systems designs and specifications within Powertrain across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, manage the cooling functional requirements and report the system functional/performance status, and contribute to the delivery of the area onto all programmes, in line with the Systems Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems. You will provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of the cooling system components including issue resolution and objective data analysis, and work with Technical Specialist, SMEs and Attributes on Function Forward Strategies, including new Function Definition and Failure Mode Avoidance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

Sound understanding of the Design and Development Process of complex automotive thermal systems.

Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance

Able to demonstrate Battery Electric Vehicle understanding of the technology and systems at powertrain and vehicle level.

Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Project Management, Requirements Managements and Systems Engineering and have strong disciplined approach to engineering delivery.

Good verbal and written communications. Must be able to communicate and able to present information in a concise and factual manner.

Analytical and problem solving skills

Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills Must be able to foster good working relationships to achieve goals.

Experience and working knowledge of testing and development processes.
Relevant Engineering degree

Proven ability to manage own workload to meet clear and defined targets.

Desirable:

Full driving licence.

Jaguar Land Rover internal driving licenses.

Good working knowledge of Jaguar Land Rover systems.

Experience in IBM Rational DOORS

Willingness to be involved with overseas testing.

Awareness of 1D simulations methods used within Gamma Technologies
