You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available. An exciting new opportunity for an initial 6-month contract for an Automotive Functional Safety Engineer. This Opportunity is outside IR35 and offers remote working. You will be responsible for leading safety related activities on safety critical systems and ensures products, processes and work products are ISO26262 compliant. You will also work with the customers' safety organizations as well as Company product development teams to ensure the functional safety process is executed and documented. Specific work products include the product architecture, Safety Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Safety Requirements, and Safety Analysis including FMEDA and FTA, and Safety Verification and Validation activities.

Essential Experience:Expert knowledge in ISO 26262 (ideally Part 4)Experience in FTA, FMEA, HARA/derivation of Safety Goals, Safety Concept, Technical Safety RequirementsExperience working directlywith customers and resolving issues Desirable Experience:Awareness of cyber-security principles and their commercial application (e.g. threat analysis, security requirements/techniques and penetration testing)Other automotive-relevant safety-related systems standards such as IEC 61508 or MISRAEngineering process development including CMMI, ISO 15504 (SPICE) ,etc I am also able to offer an excellent referral fee if you know anyone you believe may be suitable for this position!
