Technical Development Officer

Salary: £30,420 - £35,307

Location: Bridgend

Closing date: 29^th August 2022 @ 3pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the established Business Systems team within the busy Digital Services Department primarily based at South Wales Police HQ in Bridgend.

The successful candidate will have experience diagnosing and resolving complex problems across enterprise level applications. They will provide support and guidance to numerous stakeholders such as business users, managers and the existing support and development team. They will have an understanding of MS SQL database knowledge capable of interpreting business requirements and converting them into queries to be used for further analysis. Day to day they will work on developments within the various applications supported by the Business Systems team while providing support for the existing functionality.

This post is not suitable for job share/part time workers due to continuity of workload and maintenance of ownership of ongoing projects.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017, you must have completed 2 years' tenured service before applying for any other roles.
