Senior Technical Development Officer

Salary: £35,484-£38,376

Location: Bridgend

Closing date: 29^th August 2022 @ 3pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the established Business Systems team within the busy Digital Services Department primarily based at South Wales Police HQ in Bridgend.

The successful candidate will have in-depth experience diagnosing and resolving complex problems across enterprise level applications. They will provide support and guidance to numerous stakeholders such as business users, senior managers and the existing support and development team. They will have a high level of MS SQL database knowledge capable of interpreting business requirements and converting them into advanced queries to be used for further analysis. They will also be responsible for the day to day management of the support and development team on occasions where necessary to cover absences etc.

This role is not suitable for part time/job share workers due to operational requirements.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017, you must have completed 2 years' tenured service before applying for any other roles.
