Test Analyst (Infrastructure)Company:
A leading financial services corporation is currently recruiting a hand's on Test Analyst who has substantial experience in system testing, regression testing and UAT testing end-of-life IT infrastructure applications (Citrix, VMware, Windows etc.) Any knowledge of IT Infrastructure Operations within Testing will be highly advantageous for my client. The chosen Test Analyst will work within a Waterfall / Agile environment and can technically lead a small team of Test Analysts in multiple locations worldwide. This is a permanent contract basis paying up to £47,000 per annum (depending upon location) + excellent benefits + generous bonus + hybrid working to be based in Chatham or Wolverhampton.

This is an exciting Test Analyst opportunity where you will interact with Change Managers, Business Analysts and Programme managers, testing a portfolio of systems/applications across regulatory, data, end of life and digital within a financial setting. Additionally, our client is currently undergoing a huge migration programme and will be moving to an Azure DevOps environment to which you will gain exposure.
Role overview/responsibilities:
Scope, plan, prepare and coordinate the test activity for projects, releases, change and defect fixes to achieve successful delivery to time, quality and budget.
Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the Group and third parties to drive Test outcomes.
Mentor test analyst and junior members of the testing team in the UK and India where required, including monthly one-to-one sessions with assigned resource in the UK and India supporting assigned projects.
Develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge and level of expertise to support each system/project and testing phase.
Ensure team create and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases and test scripts which are fit for purpose for each project and test phase in line with the agreed testing policy and procedures and agreed strategy and approach.
Ensure project deliverables are met and delivered on time for each project and test phase. Escalate any slippage to Test Manager and Senior Test Manager where appropriate.
Produce regular quality reporting and status updates as required for assigned projects and areas of expertise.
Ensure all test results are accurately recorded with the required documentation during all phases of test execution.
Understand and execute end to end test process, implementing quality recommendations with support from the Test Management Team.
Provide forecasted and actual test estimates to contribute to overall project or change planning timelines and resource requirements specifically for required testing cycles based on approved entry and exit criteria.
Technical skill set:
4 years of previous experience testing core IT Infrastructure applications (Citrix, VMware, Windows etc.) essential
4 years of previous experience using Test Management Tools (HP Quality Center/ALM /Azure DevOps Test Plan etc.) is desirable
Experience in working alongside BA's, PMs and Development teams are essential.
Experience working with offshore teams is desirable.
Line Management experience is essential.
Detailed knowledge of the software development cycle and the defect resolution process is essential
Detailed knowledge of System Testing, regression testing and User Acceptance frameworks is essential
Detailed knowledge of Testing Methodologies and Testing Lifecycle is essential.
Thorough understanding of structured test methods and processes covering manual and automated testing is essential
Proven knowledge of working in a testing function within a financial services organisation with exposure to mortgage and savings products is essential
Knowledge and experience in writing SQL queries and database interrogation through structured SQL queries is desirable
Salary expectations:
