Our team

Our team is known as Major Core Programmes Quality Assurance, and we're a Quality Assurance Centre of Excellence to deliver and continuously improve Quality Engineering through innovation and automation, driving excellence in testing, as well as test environments and test data provisioning, and supporting the whole of Group with an expertise in Major Programmes, with a shared goal of building the best bank of the future.

About the role

This role will be working on programmes driving future technology strategy for the group, focusing on cloud technologies and automation to ensure our position in the market remains strong through our ability to adapt with pace.

Joining us as a Quality Engineer within Major Core Programmes, you'll drive quality software solutions into production. You'll be passionate about large complex multi platform programmes of change which require strong knowledge of infrastructure and applications across the group. You'll be continually challenged, motivated, and help define "Done" from a Quality perspective. You'll ensure we deliver Test solutions in line with the Test Strategy and help define our QA Engineering principles.

What we need from you

Essential:

Experienced Non Functional Quality Engineer that has a proven track record of QA delivery across large complex multi platform programmes.

Significant ability to provide expert QA guidance and support on Large Scale Cloud to On Premise Solutions. With expert knowledge in ensuring assurance is embedded into DevOps pipelines.

Experience and track record in shaping & delivery of large scale automated Non Functional Test Solutions.

Experience of implementing future proofed Non Functional Test tool, methodology and ways of working

Proven experience and ability to coordinate, continuously upskill and lead large teams across multiple platforms on / off shore.

Experienced in being able to apply previously acquired knowledge to define Programme test strategies cross platform and able to demonstrate different test approaches based on previous knowledge of process, application and resource availability - an ability to face into issues and think creatively.

Strong business and partner stakeholder management experience and skills are essential and you must be comfortable to face off brief Programme director level stakeholders / Steering.

Nice to have skills and experience

Desirable:

Strong influencing skills.

Confident in the usage of industry QA tools such as Performance Centre/ Confluence / JIRA / XRAY/ ALM / Power BI / CMT.

Experience in Finance, Change Governance (including Audit), Risk Management and Full Test Cycle Traceability.
