Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to be the subject matter expert on the Functional HR and CRM team, predominantly in the HR arena, primarily to support the demands of the current Change Programme but also to support the day to day maintenance of the application as required. With three major releases each year and multiple smaller releases, this role is both demanding and challenging and requires someone that can handle multiple strands of work in a fast paced and ever changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

*Assist with the planning and tracking of all work within the Functional HR and CRM, covering a multitude of work streams.

*Review and approve all design documentation produced by the team.

*Monitor the Incident levels and support the maintenance of the application by investigating incidents, identifying the cause and seeing through to resolution

*Produce and/or update detailed design specifications in accordance with Account procedures.

*Provide estimates in accordance with Account procedures.

*Construct/modify the configuration of core and custom Oracle modules in accordance with detailed design specifications.

*Produce test specifications to demonstrate that reconfigured elements meet requirements.

*Provide support to the full life cycle of each (i.e. system testing, UAT and implementation).

*Work with the Environments team with regards to the up-keep of the development environments, keeping them in line with other work streams and arranging for the environments to be cloned/refreshed.

*Analyse Oracle patch sets (RUPs etc) to identify impact to current design and formulate required test plans.

*Provide regular progress reports to Line management in accordance with agreed procedures

*Assist with the mentoring of new/junior Team members.

Essential Skills:

*Educated to degree level or equivalent

*IT literate, with an understanding of programming languages and an ability to communicate effectively with IT professionals

*Proven experience of implementing Oracle projects (full project lifecycle)

*High-level understanding of HR - Oracle eBusiness Suite eBusiness Suite 12.

*Able to plan and organize the work of themselves and others to ensure the achievement of targets and outcomes

*Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage with others

*Strong written and verbal skills

*Possess good creative skills and make suggestions for improvement

*Must be able to work under pressure and to constantly changing deadlines

*Must be pro-active and self-motivated

*SC, or SC clearable

*UK Nationality or meets Civil Service Nationality Rules

Desirable Skills:

*Knowledge of some Military business processes or experience of working in Government Sectors (preferably Defence)

*Knowledge of Oracle HRMS/CRM

*Knowledge of Serena Dimensions
