Estimating and Planning Engineer £35K + Pension + OTE + Sick pay + Parking + Life Insurance + Lots of Progression Opportunities + early finish on Friday (Located in The Metropolitan Borough of Walsall - commutable from Wolverhampton, Cannock, West Bromwich, Norton Canes, Codsall) This is an exciting opportunity for an Estimating Engineer from a manufacturing background looking to join a well established, rapidly growing company where you will receive further training and the opportunity to progress. Do you have experience working as an Estimator or Planner within Manufacturing? Do you have a background in CNC machined parts or components? You could be joining an exciting business that has ambitions to expand and increase their turn over by 5 times the amount in the next few years. In this position you will support the engineering manager and his team in the quotation and estimation of all new enquiries. You will communicate with the engineering and production team when cots exceed estimates and explore the root cause. The Role Compilation of estimates for new businessTo assist in the development of best estimation practicesTo follow the company's NPI process ensuring all RFQ's are dealt with in the customers stipulated timeframeTo maintain quote and planning data by customer on the companies I.T. systemTo manage post contract reviews to ensure new jobs have achieved the estimated added value and help identify improvement methods to increase efficiencies.£35K + Pension + OTE + Sick pay + Parking + Life Insurance + Lots of Progression Opportunities + early finish on Friday The Person Mechanical Engineering background and experience in precision engineering (CNC machining/ press tools).Knowledge of machine inspection techniques.Computer abilities with MS Word and Excel.Lives local or willing to commute to Walsall.
