The UK Intelligence division of Airbus is responsible for providing Earth Observation services, ranging from satellite end to end user services, service operations, product development and consultancy, as well as website design, hosting and content management.  An exciting opportunity for a Configuration Manager has arisen, based in either our Guildford or Newcastle office. Responsibilities The Configuration Manager will be responsible for the deployment of the process and evaluates performance metrics against the defined critical success factors, instituting actions to correct shortcomings or further streamline the process as necessary. They will also be responsible for the execution of the process controls, ensuring that staff comply with process, data and security standards.  The Configuration Manager will Interface with other processes and/or business functions to ensure they are able to leverage the benefits provided by the Asset and Configuration Management process. The role will focus on 2 key areas: 1. Configuration & Asset Management Directs, prioritises and schedules audits; ensures that any corrective action identified in Process and/or Database audits are carried out Directs and schedules the training of new colleagues involved in Development or Service Management Plans and manages the population of Assets and the CMDB, including discovery, integrations, and other data import methods Ensures regular housekeeping of the Asset and CMDB Ensures appropriate security and access levels to the Asset database and CMDB Produces reports and Management information, including impact analysis reports and status reports Identifies opportunities and submits proposals for improvement with respect to tools, staff, training, process, procedures and work instructions Identifies maintenance requirements for software and infrastructure to ensure that they are updated and covered by adequate maintenance support 2. Information Security Supervision and coordination of the Information Security Management System (active member of the Security Council for Intelligence UK) Coordination of all activities related to the ISMS Facilitate business input for Security Council Reviews (meeting agenda, task / action status, report preparation) Facilitating the audit schedule for ISO27001 (internal / external) Managing all Corrective Actions and Improvements Coordinating the risk management process (Security Incident Process, Improvement Log, Non-conformance Log, ISMS Risk Register) Communication of information relating to ISMS in the Organization Maintaining up-to-date information / documentation for the ISMS Ensure effective communication for Information Security (policy update briefs, awareness campaign, internal audits) Contacting authorities and groups of interest in the area of ISMS You will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance. This requires UK citizenship or 5 years recent residency in the UK to be considered. Skills and Experience we'd like to see Qualified to degree level A qualification in Configuration and Asset management Some experience in audit-training. Not 100% match for the role? No worries!
