A vacancy has arisen for a Communications System Engineer within Airbus Defence and Space, to join our Communications and Information Systems (CIS) Defence, Test and Reference Centre in Blandford, Dorset. Reporting directly to the HO Service Management in the maintenance, operation and configuration of the military Information Systems (IS).  Location: Blandford Camp, Dorset Salary: £Competitive + Package (DOE) Job Type: Permanent Training/Progression: Training will be provided in key areas where necessary You will need to be eligible to gain or already hold UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role with the possibility of requiring UK DV Security Clearance. Responsibilities: Build, maintain and support the test environments using the military IS in accordance with current MOD policy and guidelines. Configuring IS networks to meet the needs of the technical tests. Interoperability with national and international military IS and test equipment.  Provide support, advice, guidance for the build standards and upgrades for military IS equipment.  System level maintenance on Military IS, including serviceability checks and inspections. Required Experience / Skills: Communications or information systems Level 3 BTEC qualification or equivalent. CCNA part 1 or N+ level knowledge. A Network engineer with experience of communications and information systems. Experience of configuring VMWare and virtual machines. Experienced in contemporary deployable military information systems.
