We are looking for a Cloud/System Architect to join Airbus Defence and Space, in either our Guildford or Newcastle upon Tyne offices. You will join our Connected Intelligence group and report to our Head of Solutions Engineering.With proprietary access to the world's leading commercial satellite constellation,

You will provide technical architecture leadership to support the delivery of state of the art cloud solutions to the Airbus Intelligence UK programme. As well as having an excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends, we are looking for someone who is looking to continuously learn, develop and innovate.
You will also need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance (normally requiring you to have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years)
Main Tasks and Accountabilities The main tasks and responsibilities will include: Capturing and analysing stakeholder needs, translating them into comprehensive technical requirements and defining architectural solutions to satisfy them. Designing and modelling functionality and physical systems, expressing the solution to a level appropriate for the audience. Evaluating technical options in a way that considers the appropriate level of detail, wider impacts and available technology Leading the technical architecture, integration and potential deployment of the solution and the related IT infrastructure. Collaborating with other architects and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions. Designing reliable, resilient, scalable systems from inception to delivery.
