A new position has arisen for a PMO Manager to join our Cyber Division based in our Airbus Defence and Spaces offices in Newport, South Wales. This would ideally suit someone who has experience of establishing and Managing a Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver Project Management Best Practice and improvement initiatives to support project/contract delivery.  Reporting directly to the Head  of Programmes you will ensure that project management best practice is implemented across all Airbus Cyber projects.  As such the PMO Manager will be the primary interface to the business stakeholders ensuring that project governance/assurance is in-place in line with Airbus Manage Programmes processes and procedures.  The PMO Manager will be fully responsible for all aspects of the PMO capacity planning, best practices and process improvement initiatives. Security: Must have been a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years to gain the correct level of UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role
Training/Progression: Training will be provided in key areas where necessary
Tasks and Responsibilities To continuously evaluate projects performance controls to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines Support the Head of Programmes with Project governance reviews and monthly performance/progress checkpoints Lead a monthly PMO workshop with the Head of Programmes to the PMO group Skills and Experience HND/Degree in Business Administration/Project Management or relevant experience PMP, PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management certification. Should have an in depth knowledge of project management and people both locally and remotely. Experience of project or project office delivery in a development and production environment is essential.
