Functieomschrijving We are looking for a Verification, Validation and Test Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Portsmouth, UK. You will join our Modem System Product team and report to the Engineering Manager. You will join a highly technical team working towards exciting planetary missions in one of the world's largest space businesses, working with cutting-edge technologies designed to travel to infinity and beyond. From satellites providing our planet with images and communications, to rovers that wonder foreign planets, and the rockets that launch them there....we make it happen, we make it fly! All within a flexible working environment, with the chance to see the full end-to-end life cycle of the products you will be working on, from design and development to Launch.  You will need to be eligible to gain UK SC Security Clearance. Tasks & Accountabilities Specification of system test procedures together with their implementation and tracing to requirements for verification (including pass/file criteria) Software scripting of test procedures including automated regression testing and test report generation Coding in Python / Bash / C/C++ / Java / Matlab Working with RF test equipment (including remote control and monitoring), e.g. Signal Analysers and Generators Working along typical Engineering process including VCRI preparation Supporting TRR, TRB, and FDR gates This role will involve very occasional travel for business within the UK and worldwide.
Skills & Experience University degree in a technical domain, e.g., computer science, engineering or equivalent. Applicants should have broad engineering experience in a test role, ideally with communication/radar systems, including hardware, software, and RF integration and their characterisation / testing in a laboratory environment. Experience in software development using the Agile methodology and Tools Expertise in computer hardware and software and programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Familiarity with Aircraft-level design and test standards
