Functieomschrijving We are looking for a Satellite Communications Architect to represent Airbus Defence & Space Earth Observation and Science (EOS) UK as part of the TTC (Tracking, Telemetry, and Command) and Data Handling group. Your Tasks & Accountabilities Design, specify, and procure TTC and data transmission subsystems Define the platform TTC and payload data transmission subsystem architectures and prepare equipment or subsystem requirements specifications Manage the interfaces between the platform data handling equipment, the payload instruments, and their associated communications subsystems Define and manage system data volume and RF link budgets. Ensure compatibility between the on-board and ground communications hardware. Perform the technical management of communications equipment subcontracts (inc Progress Meetings, Reviews, contractual changes etc)At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Desired Skills & Experience Experience with data bus architecture and protocols (MIL, CAN, Spacewire, etc.) as well as modulation and encoding schemes, packetisation, etc. Knowledge of analogue and digital electrical interface standards Ability to provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements Ability to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
