The Opportunity

We are currently hiring a Network and Identity Management Analyst. This is a key role providing support on the Parliamentary Network and key services such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory and Cloud Services.

This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to expand their experience in Networking and Identity Management as this role will support both teams.

What You Need

You'll be ready to take advantage of the opportunity to develop new skills and experience in this challenging and fast-paced environment. As a foundation, you will need:

an understanding of frameworks and principles on which the Parliamentary network infrastructure is based (Windows OS, TCP/IP, VPN/IPsec, VPN/SSL), network support and troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, WLAN and network security solutions), network security services (e.g., Next gen firewalls with IPS and IDS) and support of VPN technologies.

an understanding of DNS support and configuration, Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, server patching, single sign-on (SSO) and MFA.

an understanding of Managed service suppliers and how a contract is managed, in addition to knowledge of IT security issues and mitigation techniques.

proven ability to form effective working relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and colleagues within a complex management structure, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion

proven experience of working within a service-led organisation; managing incidents, requests, changes, and problems through a service desk system.

the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

About The Team

The Network, Identity and Access Management team sits within the wider Platforms team at Parliamentary Digital Services. We are a medium size team, dedicated to delivering innovative network solutions with the highest security level to customer of PDS (Lords/Members, their staff and Parliaments supporting admin staff).
