I am working with a University who are looking for a SQL Sever DBA to support on a 3 month contract basis.

You will be working close with the developers so ideally someone that has development skills, or understands how to develop the database would be useful so you can speak their language.

You will be required to create execution plans, see how the views and procedures work. You will need to have a deep understating of SQL Server and can provide how to do things correctly by providing solid advise.

This is not a production DBA type role, this is to support on a project so ideally someone has who can produce execution plans and can reviews what is and what isn't beneficial for performance. You will be recommending improvements and enhancements.

System is currently a mix of 2012 & 2017, however they are moving to 2019.

They are moving to new servers, so will need to make sure we can get performance on new infrastructure. They use a windows environment and are staying in windows. The client has a virtual environment.
