Financial Services - Technology Risk -
£75,000 - £100,000 per annum


A global consulting client in the build-out of their financial services technology risk cloud consulting practice. While London-centric, this is a hybrid / remote opportunity, paying between £75,000 - £100,000 dependent on experience.

Our clients team is focused on providing consultancy, advice and assurance on their own clients technology risks and controls.

The Cloud Risk team is one of the fastest growing areas within their Consulting practice, and one that offers an opportunity to really make a difference with clients and change the way they think about cloud, the risks, and their strategic ambitions in the cloud.

To support clients in this space requires skills in leveraging technology risk, cloud skills and experience, but also skills in project management, third party risk, resilience, security, regulation and beyond.

The Role

* Leadership - As an active member of the leadership team, supports in providing strategy, direction, growth and development of the team and proposition
* Engagement Delivery - Lead and deliver Technology and Cloud risk and control services to the Financial Services clients. Quality assure work undertaken by members of the team
* Relationships - Build constructive working relationships across different teams, functions, countries or cultures
* Client Relationships - Develop lasting client relationships and actively building a network and range of experience to help address client needs
* Opportunity Identification - Support in identifying revenue-generating opportunities and get involved in business development activities such as proposal writing, pitch presentations
* People - Support in the hiring, coaching and development of the team, including being a performance manager for a number of direct reports
* Proposition - Work with the team to evolve the cloud risk and control proposition including frameworks, methodologies and tools, linking into global and cross industry working groups to share knowledge and insights

Qualifications and Skills
Essential
* Proven experience of successfully delivering cloud risk and control projects, large IT risk and control projects, or technology audit engagements, at either within a Big 4 firm or a large Financial Services Institution

Desirable
* Risk certifications such as the CIA, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CDPSE, etc. are desirable but not essential
* Certifications in Public Cloud are preferred such as at least one of: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, or cloud agnostic certifications like CCSP, CCAK, CCSK, CompTIA Cloud+, CET
* Experience in working in a either a cloud engineering / deployment environment or risk and control / assurance environment desirable
* Degree/masters qualification

Experience and Background
* A specialist understanding of IT risk & cloud, and its impact on the business control environment.
* Demonstrable experience in technology risk & controls within a risk/security/compliance organisation or a large organisation in a heavily regulated industry; with experience in Public Cloud engineering.
* Ability to identify and assess complex technology risks & controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly to all stakeholder levels.
* Strong understanding of FS sector - business processes / products / keys risks
* Ability to play an active role in the business development process
* An aptitude for embracing and adapting to new and emerging technology
* Experience of managing business and IT stakeholders from across the business and all levels of seniority
