Are you an experienced CNC Programmer and interested in progressing your career further with a friendly and supportive company that is able to offer a tailored progression plan to see you step up into leadership and production management at the Principal level?

This company is a leading specialist in the manufacture and delivery of engine cooling pumps and hydroelectric turbines around the world. With innovation at the heart of their ethos this company wants to expand their impressive number of prestigious clients by offering engineered solutions for the Small Hydropower and High Horsepower Engine markets.

On offer is a very rewarding package and a brilliant training/progression scheme for a candidate looking to grow in the business. Additionally, an Employee Wellbeing programme ensures an excellent work-life balance and the company can provide accessible counselling in a number of areas in your personal life. Out-of-work benefits include discounts in gym memberships and retailers, a cash-back bonus and overall help to ensure a positive lifestyle in and out of work.

In this role you will be responsible for both the programming of CNC machines as well as acting as a leader in the company's production team, taking charge of things such as KPIs, staff development, Root Cause Analysis, audits and trial runs.

The role:

* Creating CNC programmes and relevant process sheets using SolidCam

* Producing manufacturing drawings using Solidworks

* Organising and implementing production trial runs and capability studies

* Driving production and process improvements and carrying out reviews to minimise waste

* Working closely alongside Production Manager to implement Lean Manufacturing principles

* Carrying out risk assessments, Root Cause Analysis, audits and corrective actions

The person:

* Demonstrable experience in CNC programming

* Experience with Solidworks, SolidCam and IFS

* Experience in a production environment focusing on medium to large sized pieces of equipment

* Informal or formal leadership experience (advantageous although development can be supported)
