Mechanical Design Engineer

Workshop and office split, commutable from Exeter, Honiton, Taunton, Yeovil, Tiverton and surrounding areas.

£30,000 - £40,000 + Progression to Senior + Internal & External Training + Great Pension + 31 Days Holiday + Flexible Working + Company Benefits

Are you an ambitious design engineer that wants to work on exciting projects, in a company that heavily invest into their employee's with internal and external training to develop your skills and become a technical expert, as well as progressing your career to more senior levels and take on more responsibility?

This market leading manufacturer specialises in the design and development of defence equipment which operates in harsh environments around the world, with a healthy order book dated back for the next few years and plenty of exciting new projects underway. This company has excellent open and clean workshops as well as fully refurbished and bright offices in a great location. Established for over 50 years, they are looking to expand their design team and get someone to add to their excellent work culture.

This role would be suitable for a design engineer that wants to receive plenty of training to develop their technical skills, and someone who wants to progress through the company and wants to be recognised as the go-to engineer within a quickly expanding company.

The role:

*Mechanical Design Engineer

*Design and develop models and drawings using 3D CAD software centred on functionality, simplicity and economy.

*Flexible working hours, 31 Days Holiday & 5%+3% Pension

*Workshop/Office split with some opportunity for remote working, commutable from Exeter, Honiton, Taunton, Yeovil, Tiverton and surrounding areas.

The Person:

*Design Engineer

*3D CAD (Solidworks) and Automotive / Sheet metal experience

*Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

*Full UK Driving License.
