Site Reliability Engineer / SRE London / WFH to £100k

Site Reliability Engineer / SRE (Azure) *Remote / Hybrid WFH*. Are you an experienced SRE seeking a lead role where you can take ownership, make the technical decisions and establish SRE processes from scratch?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at a growing FinTech that provide trading platforms to a range of finance professionals.

As the Lead SRE within the wider Infrastructure Team you'll focus on monitoring, alerting and log management with the aim of alerting and acting upon any business impactful incident before it is reported by the impacted party. You'll act as the SME for Monitoring and Observability - they're currently using Grafana and Prometheus but you'll be able to asses current processes, make technical decisions on the best tools and processes to use going forward, implement a roadmap, conduct proof of concept work, recommend and architect solutions.

You'll collaborate with other technologists across the business and help to mentor others to deepen the SRE knowledge within the wider team and business; in time growing your own team.

Following a remote interview process you can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the London office once a month / quarter (or any type of hybrid that works for you, there is no on-call requirement).

Requirements:

You have a strong technical background with recent expertise in Site Reliability Engineering - particularly systems engineering, monitoring and observability

You have a strong knowledge of Azure cloud based services

You have experience of using application, system software, infrastructure, open source and commercial monitoring and observability tools combined with experience setting of KPIs, SLOs and SLIs

You have a good knowledge of infrastructure, network architectures, monitoring and fault management

You have scripting experience with at least one of the following: SQL, PowerShell, .Net, Python, Terraform

You're collaborative, enjoy problem solving and mentoring others
