As an established preferred tech recruitment partner of several years to this international bank, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a Head of SOC / Head of Security to be accountable for ensuring effective control and management of the EMEA Security Operations Centre for both bank side and securities side.

Key Responsibilities:

SOC Management; Manage the build of the SOC; Manage the continuous improvement of SOC; Ensure integration of SOC with all Bank & Securities devices; Ensure key areas have dashboards appropriate to their roles; Input to the SOC change portfolio; Work closely with all areas to ensure clear visibility of each project with appropriate stakeholders; Enact the department's strategy and roadmap; Be constantly aware of costs and ensure that opportunities to optimise them are applied; Ensure that all security regulatory requirements are fully complied with; Ensure SOC reporting is accurate and timely; Work with international colleagues to ensure alignment; SOC Team management

Skills and Experience:

*A deep understanding of IT Security, SOCs and Cyber risks:

*Defence in Depth model.

*Network defence, IDS and DMZ - with experience of Tufin, Websense / Forcepoint

*Network protocols and firewall standards

*Detective monitoring - SIEM (Splunk), Tripwire

*Vulnerability Management -Qualys / Altiris

*Access and Privileged Access Management - with experience of RSA MAL, CyberArk

*Experienced in writing and maintaining SOC IT policies, standards and procedures.

*Experienced in running an IT Security team within a financial institution.

*Experienced in defining, planning, and executing SOC systems

*Must be conversant in the trends happening across banking and other industries.

*Experienced with the Defence in Depth approach

This role may suit an individual who has held the following roles: Head of SOC, Head of Security Operations, Head of Security, Head of IT Security, IT Security Manager.
