C++ Developer

My Client a Leading Energy Supplier based in Canary Wharf requires a C++ Developer for a 6 Month contract @ £550 per day (inside IR35)

Role synopsis 

As part of the drive to develop an organisational capability in the front office, we are looking for an experienced Front Office technologist to develop and expand our pricing infrastructure.

Key accountabilities   

Directly face trading and structuring teams in a fast paced, high pressure front office environment to deliver bespoke solutions.

Work with other developers, Business Analysts and testers as part of the wider team within Gas and Power Trading International.

Contribute to the analysis, design and development of systems, business processes, data and interfaces.

Essential Education    

Numerate degree

Essential experience and job requirements    

Previous experience in designing and developing pricing and risk tools.

Strong C++ programming skills is a MUST.

Strong structured/object-based C++ programming is a MUST.

Good understanding of pricing and hedging derivative products.

C++ Windows/Linux development skills.

Strong understanding and practice of design patterns and software development best practices is a MUST

Good quantitative skills, with understanding of common derivative instruments, and the methods used to price them.

c# essential

Desirable criteria & qualifications       

Experience of Agile SDLCs.

Familiarity with Excel including macros

Python knowledge for automation and other light scripting

Experience of Jenkins or other continuous integration tools.

Experience of development in C/C++, ideally using STL and BOOST libraries.

Strong numerical skills ideally with a numerate degree.

Strong understanding of programming paradigms such as distributed architectures and multi-threaded programme design.
