The Workplace Engineering function is pivotal to accelerating the Group's transformation agenda & adoption of cloud native capabilities. Workplace Engineering lead the technical strategy, design and delivery across multiple technology platforms and are materially setting new standards when it comes to our resilience and security, whilst ensuring the services we engineer can be seamlessly transitioned through for enterprise-wide consumption.

As one of our Lead Workplace Engineers you'll lead and participate in a team designing, developing, and testing modern workplace solutions for the whole of LBG. You'll have accountabilities for the development of these solutions which will bring genuine business benefit based on business requirements.

About you:

You should have experience leading design and development of solutions using technology across a subset of the following areas:

Confirmed experience in developing, designing, and testing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365 Productivity and Collaboration Tooling e.g., Teams, Power Platform, and new technologies.Crucial to the success of the role will be the ability to engage multiple partners, to gain advocacy and agreement to enable a successful outcomeA solid understanding of delivery frameworks such as Agile and DevOps would be beneficial, however technical and people leadership skills are important to ensure successful outcomes as part of the wider team.An initiative-taker who takes ownership, collaborates, and who has the vision to challenge conventional approachesExperience in innovating fresh solutions to meet business requirements where no solutions currently existExperience in using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) with enterprise solutions to investigate, build, design, or test changeKnowledge of modern security standard methodology including identity driven security, data-centric controls and zero trustKnowledge of traditional and modern virtualisation solutions and standard methodology including an awareness of deploying and running cloud-hosted compute in Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud PlatformKnowledge of industry Unified Endpoint Management technologies such as Google Workspace, Air Watch, JAMF, Citrix and others.
