The Role
Reporting into the Infrastructure Services Manager, this role will join a small team responsible for the support and delivery of application and infrastructure services across the Law Society. You will have extensive and varied technical experience and knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies, on-prem services, server migration, storage and network are essential and will be utilised to help support, mentor and improve team delivery.
You will actively be involved in establishing and evolving IT platforms and updating, refreshing older legacy platforms that require change. You will provide technical delivery and guidance to project teams in selecting and deploying new solutions across the organisation, working to agile project methodology. Strong communication skills are essential.
You will act as escalation point for the IT managed service provider(s), providing 3rd line support for ITIL based incidents and problems. You will also handle BAU support for several key Web apps and services that are managed internally by the infrastructure team.
What we're looking for
As the successful candidate, you will have substantial experience in technical services delivery and support, an excellent understanding of traditional and cloud-based infrastructure and applications in addition to Windows O365, D365, Powershell Scripting, Azure AD, Dev Ops, Cisco, Meraki, SD Wan technology and Microsoft SQL Server experience and knowledge. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of monitoring and analysing toolsets, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and results oriented approach.
