What does a Data Warehouse Architect /Lead do at Rinnai?

The Data Warehouse Architect/Lead is responsible for understanding the strategic plan and digital transformation program with the alignment of the data warehouse strategy, plan, and execution. Initially, this role will have sole responsibility for planning, managing, and resolving issues with the current data warehouse and the current reporting tools including Power BI. With the addition of new systems, this role will evolve into a team with the responsibilities of managing a team of data scientists, and data warehouse developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the support of the current data warehouse with all existing processes and integrations/ETLs, OLAP, and tools for reporting including Power BI
  • Lead and manage as the sole member of the team in the near term and provide support, additional reporting, and Power BI expertise for the organization.
  • Lead the development of the Enterprise Data Model.
  • Lead the selection of enterprise data warehouse platform and supporting tools in alignment with the digital strategy.
  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Lead the definition of the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data such as product codes and client categories, and master data such as clients, vendors, materials, and employees in alignment with the digital strategy.
  • Collaborate and support business partners and other team members for enhancements and smaller development efforts.
  • Defines and applies corporate IT standards across all phases of work product.
  • Build and deliver reports to specification, schedule, and plan.
  • Able to guide business partners in testing of reports and dashboards
