ABS Modulation Quality

A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The purpose of this role is to deliver problem resolution for the modulation system across all vehicle lines through design improvements and model year quality updates. This will be achieved by co-ordinating, testing and introducing software and functionality (software is sourced from the first-tier supplier).

Operating in a cross-functional organisation, this role will report directly into the Technical Group Leader whilst working under the direction of the platform lead engineers. The role requires the individual to lead issue resolution and support technical delivery with the tier 1 supplier and multiple internal stakeholders and customers


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* Lead delivery of quality projects related to the modulation system
* Feed forward learning into future programs
* Be the focal point for modulation related technical assistance to the internal customer assistance team for the dealership & retailer network, including time sensitive high-priority items
* Run supplier quality reviews to ensure timely and appropriate supplier engagement and response
* To provide presentation material and briefings to local senior management
* Work closely with the Lead Engineer and supplier to deliver running change software post J#1



WHAT YOU NEED

Knowledge, Skills and experience

Essential:

* Willingness to learn and develop deep understanding of modern-day ABS/modulation systems
* Ability to understand the impact of software control on the physical behaviour of the vehicle
* Experience of data management, interpretation and analysis through pivot tables
* Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred


Desirable:

* Experience of working with mechatronic systems such as ABS, PAS or active suspension
* Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, in accordance with ISO14229
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
