This position is for a Nordic leader in service management industry with an aim to improve Nordic working culture and environments. They have a complex and modern Data ecosystem with a team of 15 BI and Data people which includes Data Engineers, Data Scientists and BI Developers (both internal and consultants).Their modern cloud platform is in Azure, using Synapse, Data Lake and Data Factory and as the Data Engineer you will take responsibility of ensuring they have a stable and high-quality solution while following IT Security standards. You will also be working with automation, data modelling, data warehousing, building data pipelines, ETL, analysing data and working alongside other teams across the IT Group and Business representatives to drive overall data success across the business.On top of this, they have a fantastic culture where there is a strong feedback loop and the chance to very clearly see your effect on the wider business and stakeholders. In particular, they want you to be as self-sufficient as possible while also getting all of the support that you need (which means no micro-management but plenty of progression/learning opportunities).Some more info about the role...Main responsibilities as the Data Engineer:Developing and managing integrations with APIsDevelopment, administration and coordination of data pipelines for Azure Data Factory and DatabricksData modelling: model and administer the group's central data warehouse in Azure SynapseInvestigate and understand data needs with stakeholders from the business operations and identify data sources or lack of data sourcesRequirements:A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role (BI Developer, etc.)Solid understanding of SQLKnowledge in a programming languageExperience in database modelling and working with unstructured dataKnowledge in Azure (Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Power BI) is beneficial but any cloud knowledge is welcomedAnother amazing achievement this company have worked towards and succeeded in is creating an incredibly diverse company in both gender and nationalities - it's important for them that all of their employees feel valued and their voice is heard.Does this sound like a good fit to your experience and a potentially interesting next step for you?
