We're looking for a Test Lead to join our busy and ambitious IT Department - within this role you will be contributing to the Tech Strategy, delivering strategic goals, alongside day-to-day management of our Test Engineers. We're looking for someone who can take overall ownership of the software test strategy, both automated and manual, whilst being a Technical Leader within the department; you will be overseeing the testing and quality of all software, ensuring best practise within quality assurance so experience is key. Technical Skills we're looking for: Strong technical skills in current and evolving languages and technologies and the ability to pass on knowledge to those working around them. Experience in creating and enhancing test strategies along with excellent knowledge of test tooling including but not limited to TestRail and LoadRunner Excellent knowledge in test analysis, preparation, and execution throughout the test cycle, with experience in a wide variety of testing techniques (i.e. acceptance, end-to-end, performance, exploratory, regression and smoke testing) Experience of functional testing (web, mobile and desktop applications) and implementing / leading the implementation of automation frameworks (i.e. Selenium, SpecFlow, Ranorex, Cypress) Excellent knowledge of API testing (i.e. ReadyAPI, Postman) along with integrating tests in CI/CD pipeline Knowledge of SQL, BDD / ATDD, Azure DevOps (CI/CD, agile boards) and experience working within an agile delivery methodology. As well as the ability to be great technically, we're also looking for our Test Lead to show: A passion for improving the quality and productivity of software and system testing, showing a desire to learn new techniques and trends and apply them within our business context ultimately improving our business through technology. Self-awareness and an understanding of strengths and weaknesses within yourself and others, using this to lead a high performing team. That you are passionate about continuous improvement both from both a technical and team perspective The ability to influence change and improvement within the team but more importantly, take the team with you. That you can take lead and manage projects through to completion, presenting ideas, work, or guidance to team and stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, along with a positive "can do" attitude. That you are able to collaborate exceptionally well in a team environment, building working relationships with both the technical team and business stakeholders Excellent facilitation skills when leading both technical and non-technical workshops and sessions, leading to effective mentoring and support to the team We're also looking for someone who has ideally has 5 years of industry experience working in an agile team responsible for both manual and automated software testing.
