Leading the IT Infrastructure Management function and its related projects, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

Ensuring GDC's IT Systems are secured using key CIA Cyber Security Principles

Designing, building, and automating tools and processes to ensure and improve IT scalability, IT availability and IT performance across all areas of infrastructure technology

Designing, implementing and managing fully autonomous cloud based and on-premises systems that can scale as new projects come online

Ensuring all GDC IT Systems are secure with the latest updates to allow for confidentiality, integrity, and availability

Line managing a 3rd Line IT Support Analyst

Please note, this role includes leading the out of hours response to critical IT issues affecting infrastructure security of the GDC, 24x7x365.

About you

The successful candidate will have in-depth experience with Cloud based computing (AWS EC2/Office 365/Microsoft Azure). You will be certified in VMware, Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation and Cisco Networks (associate or equivalent). Along with your technical expertise, you will have the ability to provide a professional support service, communicating effectively to a wide range of users of varying abilities.
