What will I be doing...Plans and formulates engineering program and organises project staff according to project requirementsDevelopment and implementation of new product introduction process, as and when requiredAssists with bid preparation and contract negotiationAssign projects to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testingReviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specificationsCoordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problemsDirects integration or technical activities and productsEvaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releasesControls expenditures within limitations of project budgetPrepares interim and completion project reportsBuilding and maintaining customer relationships throughout the project, handling enquiries and contractsConducting customer visits as requiredTravel off site to client or suppliers as and when requiredAny other similar requirements as requestedWhat will I have done...Competent with managing timescales and cost budgetsUnderstanding of proposals, supplier selection, preparation of specifications and quotation analysisPrevious experience within a project engineering/management backgroundExperienced in man-managementWhat skills will I need...Strong verbal and written communication skillsGood IT literacy, familiarity Microsoft programmes including Microsoft Project, and other project based softwareFlexibilityInnovativeProblem solvingAble to work as part of a team to tight deadlines and targetsWhat qualifications should I hold...Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline preferred, or qualified by experienceTechnical HNC/ONC Qualified preferredPrince 2 or other recognised project management qualification preferredInterviews are happening as soon as suitable candidates have applied so please get your CV over asap for immediate consideration.
