Power BI Analyst - Microsoft Gold Partner - £35,000 - £51,000 - Hybrid Working - MidlandsOverview:
A BI focused Microsoft Gold Partner is looking to add to their diverse team of BI specialist. They are looking to achieve double digit growth over the next 12 months.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assisting with client requests for data extracts using pre-existing data models and cubes.
Validating and cross-checking sources to ensure correct information is being distributed.
Internal data assistance for desk analysts, including assisting with data requests.
Analysing and testing computation models and tracking vessels via an internal app to verify load and discharge destinations.
Become an expert on global trade and commodities.
Writing SQL queries against databases to assist the validation processes.
Reconciling and understanding data discrepancies.
If proficient enough, adding to the development cycles of data models that are used by the industry.
Developing dashboards and visualisations using MS Power BI.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience of Power BI report and dashboard development
DAX
Experience of publication/sharing/security and workspace administration within the Power BI service
Knowledge of T-SQL or equivalent
Familiarity with the use of multiple cloud-based data sources for reporting
Fundamental knowledge of MS database structure, design and use
Experienced at working within a Data Warehouse environment
Experience of using either Azure Synapse, Azure Data Warehouse or SQL Server 2017+
SSMS
Requirements gathering
Good analytical, communication and project skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Package:
£35,000 - £51,000 basic salary
Hybrid working available
