My client is a BI Consultancy and contingent labour service company with a growing customer base of large corporations across different industries as well as young and agile internet-based businesses. For this role, you will be working with the leading global brand in the logistics industry. Role - Snowflake Data ArchitectRate - Euros / GBP Location - Fully RemoteContract Length - 6 monthsStart Date - ASAPInterview Stages - 1 Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for the architecture of data warehouse and BI systemsResponsible for defining solutions for different platforms (Teradata, Snowflake, ETL) Architectures that reduce IT complexity through cost-efficient solutionsResponsible for the architecture implementation working closely with project IT teams through the complete project lifecycle: from inception to design, testing, technology selection and deployment.Responsible for managing vendors' architectsEnsure that all project deliverables align with the specified architecture.Responsible for the review and approval of the detailed design, testing and deployment architecture documentationEnsure project benefits from reusing existing assetsResponsible for communicating architecture to the project/ program stakeholders and guiding the IT project teams during architecture implementation.Ensure that governance processes, including architecture and security touch-points are followed.Responsible to the relevant domain architect for the alignment of the solution architecture with the domain architectureFeedback to Enterprise Architecture with best practices and implementation constraints of the IT standards or proposed solution architecture Day-to-Day Tasks Data Architect Lead for all corporate Data ProjectsCreate reference architecture and plan for data warehouse modernizationEvaluate and try out various POCs, such as Snowflake, Redshift, and AWS Services to finalize reference architecture.Architecture review with Enterprise ArchitectsTrack and provide visibility to architecture exceptions to enterprise architecture.Working relationship with other members of the architecture teams to seek alignment and leverage opportunities across the end client What the client needs from you Minimum 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experienceAt least 5 years of architecture responsibilities in a large sophisticated organizations with a high volume/high BI environmentExpertise in Teradata OR Snowflake technology, including BI data modellingIdentifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts.Accomplishing architecture tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks; being watchful for deviations in qualityA strategic thinker with the imagination and foresight to conceptualize new technological solutions and products that address the core business objectivesEnergetic, enthusiastic and results-orientedCommitted to "best practices" and best-in-class architecture frameworks and development methodologies enabling to position the end client as a leader and innovator in the marketplaceSuperior communication skills with technical and non-technical senior management.
