Location - Reading (with frequent travel in UK and overseas)

What you'll do:

  • To support the Technical Service Manager and Team Leaders in maintaining the operational status, maximising availability of assets to programme demanders.
  • Manage and update the Allow list on Prime Key Manager.
  • To enrol devices approved by the PKM controller.
  • Allocate devices to Mission Communities UK and Overseas.
  • apply Infrastructure CRLs & issue PSKs/ certificates.
  • Responsible for diagnosing and following through to resolution all technical problems, escalating to team members or other teams and vendors when required.
  • Solid understanding of JSP 440, 490 & 491, knowledge of Cryptographic devices and responsibilities of maintaining them in a secure environment.
  • Capable of holding an acknowledged position of trust and accountability to external parties on behalf of the company.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to working with varying Crypto/network equipment.
  • Responsible for undertaking other duties as reasonably required from time to time by line and task management.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.

What you'll be accountable for:

  • To plan and co-ordinate the provision of Cryptographic materials through each life cycle.
  • Accountable for the operations of the Prime Key Management tooling:
  • Accountable for activities required to recover from system compromises.
  • Accountable to UK CRYPTO Authorities and MoD Corsham for the lifetime handling, storing and deployment of Cryptographic material at National Security levels within the UK and Overseas.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, Safety, Health, Security and quality and be a great team player.

What you'll need:

  • Experience with JSP 490, 491 or 440
  • Experience working in a technical team or technical support role
  • Experience of implementing, configuring and troubleshooting Crypto & IT Hardware
  • Experience of installing equipment into Data Centre environments (Desirable)
  • Experience of working with & implementing Data Centre network designs (Desirable)
  • A flexible approach to work
