These capabilities will allow scientists, engineers and clinicians to perform the advanced research and development necessary to begin solving the world's critical problems. As a IT Infrastructure Engineer - Research Computing Specialist your main duties would be:Maintaining Openstack cloud infrastructureSupporting service delivery as well as improving reliability, availability security and performanceSkills our client is looking for:
Hands on experience with deploying and managing infrastructure as codeWill be proficient in Linux operating system and familiar with key network conceptsScripting in Bash or Python, Ansible configuration management, Terraform and version controlExperience of HPC would be advantageousThe motivation and enthusiasm to learn new skills and new technologies are essentialIf you think you fit the bill or would like to discuss other IT roles, I would love to speak with you.
